Gann Academy continues to grow and look for ways to meet the various individual needs in our community. We have students with a range of abilities who come to the school, and it is our goal to ensure that each student successfully maximizes his/her potential.

Academic Support
The Learning Center is staffed by five seasoned professionals who work with students one-on-one and in small groups to help them understand their own learning styles and challenges and to assist them in developing strategies to increase their effectiveness in the academic environment.  Students can either be self-referred to the Learning Center or can be referred by faculty members or administrators. The Learning Center staff work closely with classroom teachers to help them design appropriate accommodations for each student with documented needs. 

Students see the Learning Center as a welcoming, comfortable environment where they can come to work independently on homework and assignments.  They know that if they hit a stumbling block the Learning Center staff is there to guide and support them.  The door to the Learning Center sports a sign that reads, “The Learning Center…still the happiest place in the school”.  That says it all.

Health
Gann Academy has a full-time nurse on the staff to provide for the physical needs of our students.   Gann also has a school psychologist on its staff.  Students may see the nurse or school psychologist for a variety of medical reasons. Either students or parents may request their services.  Parents are welcome to call or schedule an appointment whenever they have any concerns.
